Hi. You should have received a black tube that fits on the back side of the side saddle. The back plate holds it in place. That black rubber tube holds the shell in place. If you need that tube, just email info@gforcearms.com and we will send it out to you. Without the rubber tube, the shells will just fall out like you said.
